David's Journey

Humble Beginnings

David, the son of Mexican immigrants, embodies the values of hard work, resilience, and giving back. Growing up as a migrant farm worker in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, his childhood was shaped by the challenging life of seasonal labor. Imagine traveling during the scorching summers in the 1960s, year after year, from South Texas to various states across the country—California, Oregon, Tennessee, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Michigan, Ohio, Delaware, and Florida—picking crops alongside his family. By the age of 14, David had crisscrossed the entire country in the back of a big farm truck, experiencing the grit and sacrifice that defined his family’s journey.

David’s parents instilled in him strong Christian values, a steadfast work ethic, and the importance of education and perseverance. After high school, David began university but had to pause his studies when life’s challenges came up. He enlisted in the US Air Force, retiring after 20 years and dedicating a combined 30 years to service in the medical field as a Certified Histotechnologist. Determined to complete his education, David earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management at age 40 while continuing a distinguished healthcare career, ultimately retiring at 62.

In retirement, David transitioned into business, building a successful construction cleaning company and launching two thriving laundromats. Guided by his parents’ teachings that blessings are meant to be shared, David founded 'Operation Clean Health' to give back to the community. With a mission to ease financial burdens and inspire a culture of generosity, David hopes to make a meaningful impact, changing attitudes toward both giving and receiving. Through OCH, he continues to embody the values that have guided his life—working hard, lifting others, and moving forward with purpose.

Following his retirement, David ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing a successful construction cleaning business and two thriving laundromats. Embracing the philosophy of sharing blessings, he founded Operation Clean Health to give back to the community. He’s made OCH a success by sticking to the following core values:
